The Nordic Latin American Research Network (NOLAN) is an interdisciplinary network of institutions and individuals specialized in the study of Latin America. NOLAN has celebrated biannual conferences since 2002.The last NOLAN conference was organized by the Norwegian Latin American Research Network in the city of Oslo in November 2013.
The 8th NOLAN Conference “Struggles over Resources in Latin America” will be held in Helsinki in June 11-13 2015, as part of the celebrations of the 375th Anniversary of the University of Helsinki.
The Organizing Committee invites proposals on panels addressing the conference main theme. However, the conference is open to other themes. Analyses of the past, present or future scenarios from diverse disciplinary backgrounds are equally welcome.
